چکیده

abstract the objectives of this research was to evaluate the rhizospheric effects of wheat (triticum aestivum l.) on the status of various inorganic p fractions and total organic p in 10 calcareous soils amended with 1% (w/w) municipal sewage sludge from the refinery of shahrekord city under rhizobox conditions. thus, wheat plant was planted in completely randomized design with three replications. p fractions were determined by modified olsen and sommers' sequential fractionation procedure. the results showed that wheat rhizosphere showed a significant depletion of non-occluded p, occluded p, organic p and residual p fractions, and a significant increase of calcium phosphate fraction. simple correlation coefficients showed that plant indices have positive relationship with non-occluded p, occluded p and calcium phosphate fractions in the rhizosphere and bulk soils (pkeywords: biological properties, mineral phosphorus, organic phosphorus, sequential extractionabstract the objectives of this research was to evaluate the rhizospheric effects of wheat (triticum aestivum l.) on the status of various inorganic p fractions and total organic p in 10 calcareous soils amended with 1% (w/w) municipal sewage sludge from the refinery of shahrekord city under rhizobox conditions. thus, wheat plant was planted in completely randomized design with three replications. p fractions were determined by modified olsen and sommers' sequential fractionation procedure. the results showed that wheat rhizosphere showed a significant depletion of non-occluded p, occluded p, organic p and residual p fractions, and a significant increase of calcium phosphate fraction. simple correlation coefficients showed that plant indices have positive relationship with non-occluded p, occluded p and calcium phosphate fractions in the rhizosphere and bulk soils (pkeywords: biological properties, mineral phosphorus, organic phosphorus, sequential extractionabstract the objectives of this research was to evaluate the rhizospheric effects of wheat (triticum aestivum l.) on the status of various inorganic p fractions and total organic p in 10 calcareous soils amended with 1% (w/w) municipal sewage sludge from the refinery of shahrekord city under rhizobox conditions. thus, wheat plant was planted in completely randomized design with three replications. p fractions were determined by modified olsen and sommers' sequential fractionation procedure. the results showed that wheat rhizosphere showed a significant depletion of non-occluded p, occluded p, organic p and residual p fractions, and a significant increase of calcium phosphate fraction. simple correlation coefficients showed that plant indices have positive relationship with non-occluded p, occluded p and calcium phosphate fractions in the rhizosphere and bulk soils (pkeywords: biological properties, mineral phosphorus, organic phosphorus, sequential extraction

effects of wheat rhizosphere on phosphorus availability and some biological properties in soils treated with municipal sewage sludge

rhizosphere has different chemical and biological properties from the bulk soil. information about phosphorus (p) availability in the rhizosphere soils treated with municipal sewage sludge (mss) is limited. therefore, the objectives of this research were to evaluate the rhizospheric effects of wheat (triticum aestivum l.) on phosphorus availability and biological properties in 10 calcareous soi...

Mobility of heavy metals in soils amended with sewage sludge

Morera, M. T., Echeverría, J. C. and Garrido, J. J. 2001. Mobility of heavy metals in soils amended with sewage sludge. Can. J. Soil Sci. 81: 405–414. Sewage sludges added to arable land can improve soil fertility and physical properties. However, the concentrations of heavy metals commonly found in sludges limits their application to soil. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the mobility ...

Bioavailability of heavy metals in soils amended with sewage sludge

Morera, M. T., Echeverría J. and Garrido, J. 2002. Bioavailability of heavy metals in soils amended with sewage sludge. Can. J. Soil Sci. 82: 433–438. The recycling of sewage sludge to agricultural land results in the slow accumulation of potentially toxic heavy metals in soils. A greenhouse experiment was conducted to determine the bioavailability of Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn applied to soils in urban...

The Phytotoxicity Changes of Sewage Sludge-Amended Soils

The aim of the present study was the estimation of changes in the phytotoxicity of soils amended with sewage sludge with relation to Lepidium sativum, Sinapis alba and Sorghum saccharatum. The study was realised in the system of a plot experiment for a period of 29 months. Samples for analyses were taken at the beginning of the experiment, and then after 5, 17 and 29 months. Two kinds of sewage...

Impact of sewage sludge conditioning and dewatering on the fate of nonylphenol in sludge-amended soils.

The fate of (14)C-labelled p353-nonylphenol (NP) in soils amended with differently treated sludges originating from the same precursor sludge was assessed. The effects of commonly applied conditioning and dewatering techniques were investigated. Nonylphenol was degraded considerably faster in soils amended with liquid sludge, while a significant portion of it remained intact and extractable by ...

Effect of Arbuscular Mycorrhiza fungi application on distribution of phosphorus forms in rhizosphere soils of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)

Appropriate management of soil phosphorus (P) fertility in highly calcareous soils of Iran as around the world should rely upon sound knowledge about the phosphorus reserve and its bioavailability. Despite numerous reports on the positive effects of vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizae (VAM) fungi on phosphorus uptake which is associated to Ectomycorrhiza as a branch of two major branches of group ...
